This posting is for 3 vacancies: one full-time permanent position working 75 hours bi-weekly, one part-time term position ending March 31, 2026 working 67.5 hours bi-weekly and one full-time term position ending December 14, 2026 working 75 hours bi-weekly.
It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.
This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.

Your role
The Yukon Home Care Program provides client-focused health services in the home, improving quality of life and supporting Yukoners to live independently. Home Care offers a range of services tailored to meet individual needs, including support for acute care, chronic and palliative conditions. These services are determined through standardized assessments to assist in creating individualized plans of care; and are supported by an interdisciplinary team, consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Licensed Practical Nurses and Home Support Workers.
As an integral team member, the Registered Nurse service delivery includes client specific care coordination, liaising with the medical community direct nursing care, such as; education, treatment related to medical conditions (i.e. wound care, ostomy care etc.), collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, development of care plans, funding requests, and other nursing duties.

Shift work (days, evenings, weekends, including stat holidays)

Exposure to plants and/or flowers, animals, latex products, second-hand smoke from residents/clients

Heavy lifting 50 lbs and over, bending.

Travel during inclement weather conditions may be required
