Position Summary

Mark your calendar for Monday, October 20, 2025! Rocky View County is recruiting Presiding Deputy Returning Officers (PDROs) and Deputy Returning Officers (DROs) who want to be on the front lines of democracy for the upcoming 2025 Municipal Election. Election workers play an important front-line role in ensuring that the election process follows the rules as voters make their democratic choice. Core Accountabilities

Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) – Election Day Team: Think of DROs as the boots on the ground. They assist in facilitating the voting process on election day by interacting with voters and ensuring the election process is executed according to the rules. By doing their job well, they also enable electors to vote in an orderly fashion.

Wage: $450 flat rate

Time Commitment:

  • Able to attend one of the following 3-hour training sessions:
  • Session 1 – September 29, 2025 – 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Session 2 – October 2, 2025 – 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Session 3 – October 4, 2025 – 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Able to work long hours (9:00 AM – midnight) on election day (Oct 20).

Position Requirements

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
