Are you an experienced Corrosion Technician looking for a new challenge? In this position you will be responsible for executing all area corrosion programs, working in a team environment within the Transmission South area based in Savona, BC.
Important Note: This role is considered safety sensitive, and as such, you may be required to undergo various background screenings. This may include but is not limited to a driving record abstract, criminal check, a company sponsored medical and drug testing (applicable to successful external candidates only).
What you will do
- Key roles include: Integrity Digs, Piping Inspection/Recoats, Cathodic Protection.
- Responsible for the servicing, reliability and integrity of the Pipeline and/or Field Services Systems.
- Complete all required safety training.
- Responsible for all area Corrosion Programs.
- Troubleshoot and monitor condition of equipment.
- Demonstrate leadership and safety with Team and contractors.
- General pipeline duties and maintenance.
- Be capable of working all applicable Unifor 4960 shifts.
- Perform maintenance/operations activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
- Must be willing to work away from home on a regular basis and be able to work overtime.
Who you are
You have the following qualifications and skills:
Required:
- Ground Disturbance Level II (or to be obtained GD2 within first 60 days)
- Hold a Valid driver’s license.
- Strong focus on safety.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Corrosion integrity digs on hot lines.
- 5+ years of Ground Disturbance Level II.
- Line Locating Certification.
- AMPP Coating Inspector Level 1.
- NDE Inspector experience.
- Welder Inspector.
- Safe Work Permit Training.
- Knowledge of Enbridge SOP’s
- Experience with pipeline integrity excavations, inspections and coating.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require extended stays away from home base.
