About the role
DEPARTMENT: Integrated Crisis Response Services - EmergencyBARGAINING UNIT: CUPEJOB TYPE: Temporary full-timeSCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken EnglishNOTE: Applicants must attach a resume to their application.JOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the manager, the successful candidate evaluates and supports Restigouche Hospital Centre clients by helping them develop and maintain their autonomy, in accordance with the interdisciplinary intervention plan, in preparation for their reintegration into the community through the implementation of treatment and rehabilitation programs. This work is performed using several intervention modes, including daily individual meetings with clients, support to therapeutic groups, as well as the facilitation of educational groups. Given the specific nature of psychiatric interventions, the successful candidate organizes their work to promote continuity of care for their assigned clients. The work is guided on the one had by the clinical principles of rehabilitation, risk, needs and responsiveness. It is performed using a clinical model for interdisciplinary collaboration. The clinical practice of the successful candidate is governed by Vitalité Health Network's Code of Ethics as well as other policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma plus an additional program or course of over six months and up to one year in community integration or the equivalent; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification;Advanced non-violent crisis intervention training (CPI) or a commitment to take this training within set schedule;Prevention and Management of Suicidal Behaviour training or a commitment to take this training within set schedule;Good judgment and organizational skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Physical ability to perform the assigned work; Good work history (performance and attendance); Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values; Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.The above requirements may be verified through oral, written or practical tests during the selection process.Should there be no fully qualified applicants, this position will not necessarily be reposted.
