The Opportunity | Business Analyst, SAP

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Quality Management (QM) Analyst with strong S/4HANA expertise. The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of SAP QM processes, a strong understanding of integration points across P2P (Procure-to-Pay), SD (Sales & Distribution), and MM (Materials Management), and the ability to drive end-to-end quality processes within a discrete manufacturing and supply chain environment, specifically in the Aerospace and Defense sector.

Hands-on industry experience as a Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer is a significant asset, enabling a practical understanding of shop floor operations, quality control requirements, and the unique challenges of regulated aerospace manufacturing.

Your Challenge:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP QM solutions in an S/4HANA environment, ensuring alignment with Aerospace and Defense industry standards.
  • Define and optimize quality inspection, quality control, and related processes to align with business objectives and applicable industry regulations.
  • Ensure seamless integration of QM with P2P, SD, and MM modules, enabling efficient end-to-end process flows across the aerospace supply chain.
  • Support and maintain existing SAP QM business processes, ensuring system stability, traceability, and compliance with Aerospace and Defense quality management protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, working closely with end-users and IT teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Conduct requirement-gathering workshops with stakeholders to define business needs and map them to SAP QM functionalities, including aerospace-specific inspection points and certification processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, and engineering to ensure quality standards are met for both in-house manufacturing and supplier-delivered components.
  • Support testing activities (unit, integration, and UAT), including defect resolution, documentation updates, and deployment planning, with a focus on compliance traceability.

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years of SAP QM functional experience, with at least 1 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation.
  • In-depth understanding of SAP QM configuration, master data, and integration points with P2P, SD, and MM processes.
  • Proven track record of translating business requirements into effective SAP solutions for regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection lots, quality certificates, defect recording, and results recording processes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of quality notifications, corrective actions, and aerospace-specific documentation requirements (e.g., FAIR – First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102).
  • Experience in Aerospace and Defense manufacturing or supply chain operations is preferred.
  • Industry experience as a Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • SAP S/4HANA certification in QM or related modules.
