About the role

Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Keep records, measurements and other survey information in systematic order. Analyze latitude, longitude and angles and compute trigonometric and other calculations to plot features, contours and areas to a specific scale. Assist survey engineers or professional surveyors to develop methods and procedures for conducting field surveys. Conduct field surveys and operate survey instruments and computer equipment to measure distance, angles, elevations and contours. Determine precise geographic locations using global positioning systems (GPS) equipment. Prepare detailed drawings, charts and plans and survey notes and reports. Record measurements and other information obtained during field survey activities. Supervise and co-ordinate field survey activities. Computer and technology knowledge: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Valid driver's licence. Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety vest. Gloves. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Dependability. Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Health benefits: Dental plan.
