Responsibilities
◦ Accountable and responsible for all aspects of residents' respiratory therapy treatment by ensuring individual plans of care, in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team, are completed and implemented.
◦ Provides support to the centre and our other interdisciplinary teams.
◦ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
◦ Graduate of a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy accredited by either the Council on Accreditation for Respiratory Therapy Education (CoARTE) or the conjoint Committee of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is required .
◦ Successful completion of the National Respiratory Therapy Certification Exam as administered by the College and Association of Respiratory Therapy of Alberta (CARTA) or the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapy (CSRT), or equivalent is required .
◦ Current basic life support (BLS) training is required .
◦ Registration with the CARTA is required. Current membership in the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapy (CSRT) is preferred .
◦ Current advanced life support certification specific to the Registered Respiratory Therapist's role is preferred .
