Job Description :
Champlain College Lennoxville is seeking the services of a Pedagogical Counsellor ATE (alternance travail-études) and Continuing Education, for a temporary, full-time position.
FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Dean of Faculty and Academic Affairs, the Pedagogical Counselor will oversee the coordination of the ATE (alternance travail-étude) program, as well as the pedagogical and administrative activities related to Continuing Education. The role entails advising, guiding, providing information, facilitating development, offering support, and providing feedback to various stakeholders, including faculty and management, concerning pedagogical matters.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Continuing Education (60%)
-
Develop and promote services (credit and non-credit training).
-
In collaboration with the various departments of the college, ensures the handling of registrations, admissions, planning of classroom space, monitoring of material needs and computer resources, etc.

Contributes to the establishment and development of the business service by identifying training development opportunities for companies and organizations.
-
Conceptualizes, plans and organizes an adapted training offer that meets workforce development needs and corresponds to the college's strategic plan.
-
Promotes the services offered.
-
Develops and provides pedagogical supervision for AEC (Attestation of Collegial Studies), RAC (Recognition of Prior Learning), corporate and community training programs.
-
Represents the College in business networks (e.g., Chamber of Commerce).
-
Ensures periodic strategic monitoring and analysis of business market trends.
-
In collaboration with the various departments of the college, ensures the handling of registrations, admissions, planning of classroom space, monitoring of material needs and computer resources, etc.
Alternance Travail-Études (ATE) (40%)
-
Ensures the smooth running of the ATE (alternance travail-études).
-
Organizes and carries out various work-study activities.
-
Develops and maintains partnerships to ensure the recruitment of work-study placements in targeted sectors.
-
Is responsible for validating, distributing and awarding internships.
-
Prepares and organizes information sessions for students in programs offering internships, as needed.
-
Designs, plans and runs preparatory workshops for internships, as required.
-
Provides advice, referral and support to students seeking internships.
-
Conducts internship visits on site or by telephone follow-up.
-
Writes activity reports and updates the ATE-Placement section of the website.
-
Maintains contact with the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur (MES) and keeps up to date on current issues.
-
Creates an environment that facilitates the search for internships and jobs.
-
Develops reference tools, plans, organizes and leads promotional activities and events.
-
Other related duties as required by the Coordinator.
Requirements :
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a field of specialization relevant to the job, such as education.
Competencies
Fluently bilingual, oral and written (English and French).

The candidates will be required to submit to English and French language tests.
Other Requirements
In-depth knowledge of the college system
Experience working in a Cégep (as a teacher or professional)
Experience in program development
Experience in business / continuing education
Relevant experience in job placement or internships, entrepreneurship, an asset.
Salary Scale : $56,086 - $102,894
