Salary Expectations: $50,846.25 - $63,571.95
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Staffing Clerk is responsible for the staffing functions at Bethammi Nursing Home. Key accountabilities include maintaining established schedules of work, ensuring staff coverage, and maintaining accurate records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
-
Post-secondary education in a related program
-
Minimum one year's experience with scheduling in a unionized environment
Skills/Abilities:
-
Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
-
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, staff, and residents
-
Ability to work independently and to function cooperatively and efficiently as a team member
-
Strong time management and organization skills
-
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet strict deadlines
-
Ability to be flexible and follow direction from various program staff
-
Ability to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information

Must be at a basic skill level in word processing and spreadsheet software
Assets:

Experience with StaffRight software

Experience in a long-term care setting
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:

Will be required to undergo a successful police vulnerable sector check
-
May be required to work occasional evenings and weekends to support a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week operation
For new employees, or current employees transferring into a Long Term Care position from outside of Long Term Care, this position requires the submission and acceptance of a Police Record Check - Vulnerable Sector Check that is determined to be negative and/or pose no significant risk to St. Joseph's Care Group and its clients.
