Position Summary Human Resources Co-op Student Your goal in this position is to assist the Human Resources department with various administrative functions. This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for staff, physicians, volunteers, learners, patients and families. This position requires you to work in person at our Seniors Health Centre, 2 Buchan Court Toronto,ON M2J 1V2 On a practical level, you will
- Assist HR Associates with administrative and clerical support to one or more HR functions including reception, benefits, pension, disability plan, new hire documentation and employee data entry into HRIS. o Assist Recruiters with recruitment activities such as job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, contacting candidates, preparing offer letters and data entry into the Applicant Tracking System. o Assist the HR department by supporting front desk reception which includes responding to employee inquiries, preparing employment letters and address changes. o Assist HR Manager/Team on project assignments and support
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). o Comfortable learning new software such as Applicant Tracking System, HR Information System o Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. o Strong client service orientation. o Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. o Ability to contribute and function as a team member. o Self-starter, requiring minimal supervision. o A strong work ethic and sense of commitment. o Must be enrolled in a Post Graduate Diploma or a recognized Human Resources Program.
