Position Summary
Are you a Rehabilitation Assistant looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Rehabilitation Services department.
In accordance with the vision and values of the organization and under the clinical direction of a Physiotherapist (PT), Occupational Therapist(OT), Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), or Recreation Therapist (RT), the Rehabilitation Assistant functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the client, and supporting the operations of the service/program. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs, and assists with monitoring patients’/residents’ progression under the supervision of, and as assigned by, the responsible therapist or appropriate designate. Under the general direction of the supervising manager, the Rehabilitation Assistant also supports the operational and technical functions of the department, service, or program.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:00 to 14:25
Dunrovin Park Lodge Dunrovin Park Lodge is a 91-bed Intermediate Care residential facility
with 19 Special Care beds. It provides respite services and an adult day program. The Quesnel and area palliative care’s hospice care beds are also located in this facility, for a total of 117 beds facility wide.
Quesnel Quesnel is a small city with big opportunity. It boasts a vibrant, creative and family friendly lifestyle, rich with culture and community spirit. The city is nestled on the banks of the Quesnel and Fraser rivers, and has a diverse population of 23,000 people. The major industries include forestry,

Qualifications

Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Valid B.C. Driver’s License as required.
Skills and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to deal with others effectively.
-
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
-
Ability to organize work.
-
Ability to operate related equipment.
