About The Project Cross Fraser Partnership (CFP) is a Bouygues Construction Canada Inc., Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas Canada Ltd., Pomerleau BC Inc. and Arcadis Canada Inc. general partnership that has been selected to collaboratively deliver a new, eight-lane immersed tube tunnel that will replace the existing George Massey Tunnel on Highway 99. The new tunnel will have three vehicle lanes and a dedicated transit lane in each direction, with a separated active transportation corridor for cyclists and pedestrians.
Position Overview This role will be responsible for the management and control of project documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle. This role ensures that all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and available to all project stakeholders as required. The ideal candidate will maintain and distribute documents in accordance with company standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
- Ensure all documents are properly stored, classified, and indexed for easy retrieval.
- Maintain document control systems and ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Distribute and communicate documentation to relevant project stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Monitor and track the status of documents, ensuring that all project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist in the preparation and review of project documentation, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of documentation.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of electronic document management systems (EDMS).
- Provide training and support to project team members on document control processes and systems.
- Prepare and maintain project document control reports and records.
- Ensure document confidentiality and security in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in audits and reviews of document control processes and systems.
Education And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience in document control, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in electronic document management systems (EDMS) and document control software.
- Strong understanding of document control processes and standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for document control.
