We are hiring for the CPU software team...for Telemetry.
Telemetry has the same relationship to silicon chips, as feelings have to an animal.
Inside the body we have pain receptors, they are the first sign that you have a disease. Without them you'd never know you had an infection until you suddenly die of organ failure. Inside any PC or phone chip we also have sensors and other performance monitors which tell you what the activity, power and thermal levels are inside the chip. The telemetry they generate gives you clues about what is going on inside the chip.
Everyone who buys a computer assumes it's already been tuned to peak performance before it was shipped....we're the ones making that happen.
We Are Looking For An Intern Who Has An interest in CPU or System architecture, and a desire to write SW tools to talk to hardware. Usually this is handled by firmware and the OS does this, but in the lab we have to write our own tools to use esoteric features and the 90% of telemetry which never gets shown to the public. An interest in software architecture, and apply it to lab test software. Internal SW does not get a lot of love, and there are some improvements in UX and data which we want to implement. A race engineer, who runs benchmarks and interprets the results to find out where we could make the chip better.

- Computer Architecture skills
- Good programming skills in Python scripting
Educational Requirements
- In study towards a bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or related field
- Eligible candidates must have a graduation date in December 2027 or later, including May or June 2028.
- For 16-month internships: must be available May/June 2026 - August/September 2027
- Must be smart, curious, and inventive.
