Position Status Temporary Part-Time
Highlights This is a rewarding opportunity to work one-on-one with a creative and motivated university student as they pursue their academic goals.
As an Inclusion Facilitator , you’ll play a key role in helping them navigate classroom experiences, build meaningful social connections, and feel supported both emotionally and academically. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in mental health, accessibility, or education—and familiarity with the Emily Carr campus would be an asset.
Duties And Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Classroom Support
- Assist with notetaking and simplifying lecture content
- Provide academic reminders and encouragement
- Support implementation of accommodations (e.g., extended time)
🔹 Social & Community Engagement
- Facilitate peer connections and campus involvement
- Encourage participation in clubs and creative groups
- Foster inclusion and a sense of belonging
🔹 Emotional Regulation Support
- Provide calm, supportive presence during stress
- Offer break reminders and health-related support
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and understanding environment
Reports To Manager
Rate Of Pay Inclusion Facilitator: $27.15/hour to $30.95/hour
Probation 3 months
Driving Requirement Driving not required
Preferred Training Or Experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathetic, patient, and respectful approach to working with others.
- Familiarity with Emily Carr or university settings preferred.
- Interest in mental health, education, or accessibility services preferred.
Specific Training Or Experience Required
- Supporting People who get anxious
- Ability to motivate, encourage and engage the interests of others.
- Assisting People to find employment or support them in the workplace
- Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)
