Recreation Attendant (Aux) Job order - J0526-0924 - AuxiliaryTitle Recreation Attendant (Aux)Category RecreationCity Port Moody, British Columbia, CanadaJob Description Recreation Attendant (Aux)The City of Port Moody's Recreation department is looking for an enthusiastic individuals to provide customer service and support for recreation programs on call as an Auxiliary Recreation Attendant.The Recreation Attendant position will ensure the safety and enjoyment of our patrons who utilize our recreational facilities by supervising programs, assisting with customer service needs and inquiries, dealing with safety concerns and issues, and cash handling. Please submit your availability with your application. Shifts may cover days, evenings, and weekends.Basic Qualifications Grade 12 plus a minimum of one year of recent, job related experience supervising and instructing in a Recreation/Sport/Fitness environment CPR and First Aid certification Strong recreation instruction skills and the ability to sub in with little notice Ability to ensure public safety for those who are participating in recreation programs Physical ability to set up for programs and do minor cleaning Strong communication and conflict resolution skills Ability to problem solve and make decisions using sound judgment Excellent customer service and communication skills Supervisory experiencePlease note that employment with the City of Port Moody is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory police information check.
