Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work setting: Repair. On-site customer service. Service. Various locations. Installation. Tasks: Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair. Install electronic equipment . Repair electronic equipment . Inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies. Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools. Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults. Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning. Adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment and assemblies. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Provide customer service. Type of service and repair: Stereo equipment. Computers and peripherals. Office audio equipment. Video cameras and projectors. Television. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Area of specialization: Electronic. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Tight deadlines. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Tools. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Organized.
