About the role

Job Description Position Summary: The ICU Medical Pharmacy Consultant provides relevant training and consultation on ICU Medical’s clinical products/software and clinical services programs. They participate as part of a clinically-oriented, cross-functional team comprised of Nurses and Pharmacists. The consultant also delivers input to Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Medical and R&D by providing customer feedback and direct use experience to support product and service development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • The ICU Medical Pharmacy Consultant provides relevant training and consultation on ICU Medical’s clinical products/software and clinical services programs such as ICU Medical MedNet®, PharmGuard® and LifeShield® Application Suite and other products/solutions as assigned.
  • Provide educational support and process consultation to assist ICU Medical clients in creating a customized Drug Library
  • Provide Drug Library Support for Home Care (LTC, LTAC)
  • Support ICU Medical 3Rd parties ( Breamed, Cardinal)
  • Provide Level I and II Customer Support to internal and external clients on topics related to Drug library Software, Data Analytics and Close System Transfer Devices (CSTD)
  • Perform MedNet Report Analysis and Executive Data Analytics for contracted customers.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment, supporting standardized processes. The Consultant must be able to work independently to achieve goals and meet project timelines.
  • Aptitude to evaluate professional literature and understand the application of statistics.
  • Possess strong communication, organizational, critical thinking and collaborative skills. They must be self-learners and possess the ability to teach others.
  • Consultants must maintain the skills necessary to effectively execute on customer-centric ICU Medical clinical service programs, including using excel and other statistical tools to organize and analyze smart pump programming data, create actionable recommendations, and present findings to an oversite team.

Knowledge Skills And Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency (French and English) is required.
  • Self-motivated and skilled at working independently
  • Strong comprehension and communication skills (verbal and written; French and English)
  • Working knowledge of data analytic tools such as Microsoft Access, Tableau, and Minitab 18, as well as an understanding of basic/ intermediate statistics, is desirable.
  • Advanced computer skills required: MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent Presentation Skills, ability to make effective presentations.

Education And Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree or PharmD in Pharmacy (MSc, 2nd Cycle preferred) is required.
  • Must have an active Pharmacy license in at least one Canadian province
  • Hospital pharmacy management/clinical supervisory position or clinical consulting desired
  • Acute care hospital and/ or clinical experience preferred. Experience in the field of pharmacy informatics is highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency (specify languages) is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must meet credentialing requirements for access to client facilities (i.e. Sexual Offender Registry Check, etc)

Travel Requirements

  • Typically requires travel up to 20% of the time, including overnight stays in a hotel

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

  • This role requires the ability to travel frequently (sit on a plane or travel in a car up to 4 hours)
  • This is largely a sedentary role
  • This job operates in a professional remote office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment

This role is based remotely; the incumbent may be remote in any state other than Colorado; California; Connecticut; Montana, Maine or New York.
