Trouw Nutrition is seeking a Forage Analyst/Bulk Receiver to support bulk receiving operations and forage analysis at our Otterburne Facility, ensuring quality control, accurate documentation, and alignment with our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Passion, Integrity, and Curiosity.
About The Role: Supporting Quality and Operations
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload bulk loads, identify ingredients, and manage bin inventory.
- Collect and test samples (NIR, mold, grain, visual), and submit to third-party labs.
- Analyze forage samples: drying, grinding, coding, and reporting results.
- Maintain lab equipment and cleanliness, ensuring sample integrity and documentation.
- Adhere to safety, regulatory, and food safety protocols while supporting operational needs.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education preferred.
- Experience in agriculture and forklift operation (assets).
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Physical ability to lift 25 kgs, climb ladders, and work in dusty, noisy environments.
- Positive attitude and alignment with Nutreco values: Trust, Inclusivity, Passion, Integrity, Curiosity.
Expectation from the Role:
- Full-time, regular hours (Monday–Friday, 10 AM–7 PM), with potential for rotating shifts, overtime, and occasional weekend work.
- Maintain professional relationships and contribute to a clean, safe work environment.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and be coached.
- Ensure accurate documentation and traceability of all testing and receiving activities.
- Support inter-plant transfers and timely customer deliveries**.**
