We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Planner and Support Technician to join our team!
Location – 2400 Skymark Avenue, Mississauga ON
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Planner and Support Technician is a key member of the Facilities and Maintenance team, responsible for coordinating and executing maintenance activities, supporting front-line mechanics, and managing preventive maintenance through digital systems like ManagerPlus. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, experience working with contractors, and the ability to balance both hands-on support and systems-based planning work.

- Maintains up-to-date Health and Safety training
- Maintains up-to-date training designated for this position via “Kabi lift” and other position specific training as required
- Ensures that all utilities, equipment and general building and environmental monitoring systems are maintained in compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, security, cGMP and Corporate Standards by ensuring preventative and corrective maintenance is executed in a timely manner in accordance with defined priorities.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to the maintenance team, stepping in to assist with tasks during mechanic absences
- Use ManagerPlus or similar CMMS tools to plan, schedule, and track preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Create, monitor, and close out work orders; ensure proper documentation of time, parts, and labor used
- Analyze recurring issues, delays, or inefficiencies to prevent future maintenance problems
- Coordinate the execution of work with external vendors and service providers; track service contracts and ensure work is completed to standard
- Maintain up-to-date asset records, maintenance logs, and service histories in the CMMS
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize maintenance needs while minimizing downtime
- Support the compliance and documentation requirements under cGMP, Health & Safety, and corporate standards
- Assist with data collection and reporting to identify trends and continuous improvement opportunities
- Support general facility maintenance tasks as needed (light mechanical work, troubleshooting, basic repair)
- Provides other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Physical Effort: This role requires bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects up to 70 lb.
Environment: Work may need to be performed indoors and outdoors, during all seasons and weather conditions, at ground level and at heights.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a mechanical maintenance or technician role, preferably in a regulated environment (GMP, healthcare, pharma, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and repair planning
- Experience with maintenance software such as ManagerPlus, Maximo, or similar CMMS platforms
- Familiarity with equipment life cycle tracking, vendor coordination, and spare parts management
- Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, asset tracking systems, maintenance logs)
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team-based environment
- Technical diploma in Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
- Strong computer skills in MS Office
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
