Job Description Senior Compliance Manager GAME ON – OLG needs you We’ve said GAME ON, and we mean it – OLG is rapidly transforming its organization to better serve Ontarians by delivering great gaming experiences through our digital, retail lottery, and land-based gaming channels. Over the course of fiscal 2023-24, OLG delivered a record $2.4 billion in net profit to the Province of Ontario. We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Compliance Manager to advise on and lead compliance oversight activities for core regulatory obligations (including AGCO Standards, Responsible Gambling, Privacy and AML) in assigned OLG business areas. The role will be assigned to cover the Casino Gaming, Charitable Gaming, Lottery or Digital businesses. Assigned businesses are expected to rotate periodically based on business need..

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME Reporting to the Director Compliance Advisory & Oversight, you will be empowered to:

  • Deliver to Compliance & Investigations Leadership Team and business leaders, strategic insights and subject matter expertise on regulatory obligations and compliance trends for their assigned portfolio
  • Support Compliance & Investigations Leadership Team in setting and executing strategic priorities for the respective Execution Teams
  • Direct and oversee the completion of regulatory compliance risk assessments for assigned portfolio to generate compliance risk profiles and insights
  • Direct, oversee and evaluate the annual risk-based compliance oversight plans for assigned portfolio which highlights monitoring and testing activities addressing key regulatory compliance risks
  • Direct and oversee execution of compliance monitoring & testing plans for assigned portfolio to report on Business Areas and Service Providers adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and related control effectiveness
  • Review regulatory compliance performance data to discern issues and trends that require escalation
  • Manage and oversee issues management to ensure they are adequately investigated, escalated, remediated and monitored through to closure.
  • Engage with Regulators, Service Providers and partners in Business and Shared Services, as a regulatory compliance SME, to advise on regulatory risks, trends, and mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the preparation of periodic compliance reporting to inform on state of compliance for OLG and assigned portfolio
  • Liaise with regulators on regulatory matters / audits and/or advise Business and Shared Services in their interaction with regulators
  • Review and advise on the regulatory impact of new initiatives and products that are being developed by OLG
  • Lead and coach performance of direct reports or other team members

What You Need To Play Work Experience: – 5-8 years of business experience ideally with supervisory or equivalent leadership experience. | Experience in governance, compliance, risk management, AML, audit, investigations or related experience in a regulated environment. | Experience in the Gaming context would be considered an asset.

Education: Post-secondary education required | Relevant professional designations an asset (e.g. compliance, risk, AML, and audit designations) | Understanding of OLG’s businesses (Lottery, Casino & Charitable Gaming, Internet Gaming) would be considered assets. | Knowledge of OLG’s core regulatory obligations such as AGCO Standards, Responsible Gambling, AML and Privacy would be considered assets. | Understanding of Regulatory Compliance Management practices and control concepts.

Licenses, Registrations, Certificates: AGCO Category 1 Gaming Assistant Registration (Initiated at offer stage - employment is conditional upon obtaining and maintaining this license)
