Snowball Studios is a vibrant animation studio with studios in Toronto, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem. Snowball has produced hundreds of minutes of top quality, 3D animation and visual effects for film, tv, computer games, commercials and mobile, which are aired all over the world.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with the tools, techniques and pipeline within the studio.
  • Propagating parent light rigs, layers and comps to child shots.
  • Ensuring continuity of light/shadow direction, light quality and shot contents from shot to shot.
  • Work with the LRC Lead/Supervisor to interpret colour keys and lighting style of the production.
  • Meet daily quota expectations while addressing notes properly
  • Meet production deadlines and communicate clearly with production management.
  • Be expected to meet the level of quality required.
  • Work with upstream departments (shot finalling and VFX) to ensure elements are being delivered correctly.
  • Composite rendered CG layers and deliver final shot.
  • Communicate and work to resolve inefficiencies with the Lighting Supervisor


Qualifications


  • Proven experience of Lighting/Rendering/Compositing on CG/VFX productions.
  • Degree level qualification in relevant subject.
  • Strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D software, preferably including Maya, Fusion, Unreal Engine and Vray.
  • Experience with creating 2D FX using After Effects is preferred but not required.
  • A strong creative portfolio and showreel.
  • A strong, measurable track record in delivering against project goals.
  • Deadline driven.
  • Good communicator.


Must be legally eligible to work in Canada as specified and, where applicable, must have a valid work permit that allows the candidate to fulfill the requirements of the role.

If out of province, you may be requested to move to Ontario.
