Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated individual in this dynamic opportunity to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will ensure prompt and equitable handling and settlement of Accident Benefit claims, focusing on providing brilliant customer service to our clients and vendors. You will investigate, negotiate and settle claims within the legislative and company guidelines.

What you'll do in the role

  • As an Accident Benefits adjuster you will investigate, negotiate and settle Accident Benefits claims within your authority level
  • You have an understanding of medical terminology and you will analyze medical documentation
  • You have the ability to problem solve and make decisions on claims
  • You are customer obsessed and enjoy providing brilliant service
  • You are a strong team contributor and collaborator
  • You will gain knowledge and resources that will support your continued career journey

What you'll need

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Claims within Property and Casualty Insurance
  • Technical knowledge of the West Accident Benefits Legislation is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • University degree or College diploma and/or actively working towards a CIP designation
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual setting during the current circumstances (Covid)
