Viking is seeking an experienced AME-M' s to join the Viking Technical Services facility in Sidney, BC

Viking Air Limited is the global leader providing support and services, and manufacturing of utility, specialty, and fire-fighting aircraft. Viking provides OEM support for the global fleet of de Havilland DHC-1 through DHC-7 and the Bombardier CL-215, 215T and 415 aircraft.


  • Follow the policies and procedures laid out in the Company's Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Policy Manual to ensure the Company is in full compliance with the current Canadian Aviation Regulations;
  • Be responsible to their assigned Charge Hand;
  • Disassemble, inspect, record discrepancies, recommend and record methods of repair;
  • Repair, fabricate parts and components;
  • Install, rig and carry out all other mechanical and structural functions and test in accordance with manufacturer's specifications;
  • Ensure that all applicable airworthiness requirements are met;
  • Maintain a clean work area, and alert the Supervisor of any safety concerns;
  • Responsible for ensuring both accuracy and trace ability of parts removed or installed on Aircraft
  • For those AME's possessing certifying authority, perform and/or certify work performed within the scope of this Aircraft Maintenance Organization;
  • Perform any other work assigned.


Aircraft Mechanic Levels 1 through 3 shall:

  • Possess a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License in either the M1 or M2 category;
  • Be responsible to sign a maintenance release for any and all work performed;
  • Supervise any assigned learners and be able to inspect and certify their work;
  • Be able to successfully plan and estimate a repair project;
  • Have experience with the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of aircraft and aircraft systems;
  • Possess knowledge expected of an Aircraft Mechanic on aircraft types handled by the Company;
  • Meet the License recency requirements of CAR 403.05;


  • Must be able to meet all the physical duties required of the Department.
