Application Support Specialist

We’re currently searching for a team-oriented Application Support Specialist. This is a one-year contract position with the potential to become full-time. In this role, you will provide support, administration and reporting on the CRM (Constituent Relationship Management), Donor and Event Management applications. You will review usage, analyze data, prepare reports, monitor data integrity, and make recommendations for the improvement of business processes or system enhancements based on their findings.

Key accountabilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Providing daily operational support and first line trouble shooting for all JDRF applications including CRM, Donor System, Event Management System and related business software
  • Performing contact list pulls and merging requests of constituent records upon request
  • Responding, tracking and updating the reporting requests submitted to the IT department
  • Monitoring, auditing, and completing data clean-up reports in order to maintain the accuracy, consistency and integrity of the databases.
  • Performing application upgrades and/or patches as required
  • Monitoring scripts and performance of jobs (software updates, patches and revisions)
  • Ensuring technical stability of all JDRF applications
  • Ensuring integration of Clearview CRM with other related applications
  • Logging and documenting all technical modifications
  • Creating and maintaining user accounts on applications as part of the onboarding process for new hires
  • Creating and maintaining FAQ documents for applications
  • Supporting staff IT needs as required

  • A bachelor’s degree in a computer science program is preferred
  • Experience in business processes related to sales, marketing, event management or fundraising in the not-for-profit sector is an asset
  • Two years of experience administering and supporting staff application system and technology needs
  • Two years of practical experience using SQL analysis reporting tools, database administration, and Microsoft Excel (especially advanced formulas and VBA) preferred
  • High level of technical literacy in the Microsoft suite and SharePoint
  • In depth knowledge of relational databases, donor and CRM systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work in a time-sensitive, goal oriented and deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to function well in JDRF’s collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to anticipate the organizational impact of process changes
  • Ability to determine which issues to escalate vs. to resolve independently and provide suggestions for possible resolution
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment in handling confidential information

This is a one-year contract position with the potential to become full-time
