Job Description

The Associate Director Supply Chain is a key member of the TPO NA Supply Chain Planning Leadership Team. This role is also a member of the TPO Canada SRT Leadership team, and will be accountable to lead the TPO Canada supply chain planning organization and processes. The Associate Director Supply Chain is relied upon to maintain a holistic understanding of the demand and supply dynamics affecting the assigned product portfolio. This position will also lead the Canada TPO team to ensure all KPI’s are met and team operates within the regional and global framework. The ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to coach and develop fellow team members, drive Sales & Operations Planning process improvement initiatives, and develop strong working relationships & collaboration x-functionally across the broader site, country, regional, and global organizations of Operations, Procurement, QA, RA, MS&T, IT, Finance, Commercial functions, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member of both TPO NA Supply Chain Planning Leadership Team and TPO SRT Leadership Team
  • Own the supply chain planning process for the SRT – S&OP responsibility for planning, execution, & continuous improvements
  • Provide insight and visibility to capacity (RCCP) across the portfolio of CMO manufacturing/packaging sites, highlighting supply opportunities and risks
  • Key owner to Utilize 6Sigma/Lean principles to identify, lead, & deliver total supply chain cost, productivity, and continuous improvement objectives.
  • Supply Chain focal point for New Product Introductions to ensure supply plans are developed, communicated, and executed in support of the project timelines
  • Partner with Commercial/Product Operations team to assess lead times and product availability for new business opportunities and bids
  • Support & implement global inventory and supply chain policies, Replenishment strategies, master data optimization, and process management ensuring appropriate levels of safety stock are set and achieved across the assigned portfolio
  • Manage team of Planner/buyers in creation of ERP based supply plan (Finite Plan & Long-term 24 moth+ strategic AOP plan)
  • Make balanced decisions on supply chain plans (S&OP) to achieve key business & financial objectives of sales, customer delivery, and working capital
  • Present Supply Chain plan at S&OP meetings, including risks, opportunities, escalations, & key decisions required
  • Primary point of contact with Commercial teams
  • Lead resolution of all supply chain related topics
  • Accountable for key supply chain metrics/dashboards: CSL/OTIF, Inventory, Restricted/QA stock, Backorder, Open PO’s, Invoices, Short-Date/write-off.
  • Regularly review Master Production Schedule to ensure Supply Network Planning elements are Timely, Accurate, and Relevant
  • Facilitate weekly supply huddles among CMO bulk manufacturing and packaging sites. Identify root causes of service failures, ensure short term balance of supply and demand, and alignment with Commercial peers
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field with a Minimum 7 years’ experience with a demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain concepts & “Best Practices”
  • APICS Certification desirable, but not required
  • Specific experience in supply planning, inventory management, Sales & Operations planning
  • Knowledge of Advanced Planning systems, SAP or Oracle experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in implementing supply chain planning & execution systems
  • Pharmaceutical experience desirable, but not required
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Visio, Powerpoint)
  • Demonstrated Leadership Experience in a global matrix environment
  • Expertise leading / driving change, and mentor for new leaders or peers
  • Strong influence and communication skills within all levels of the organization are a must
  • Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to think differently about the data which may lead to less obvious conclusions
  • Self-starter and self-finisher with high energy level, High sense of urgency, and results oriented
