We are seeking a dynamic procurement specialist with good leadership skills to complement our team, someone who feels at ease in a consulting services environment, to meet the growing needs of our collaborators and clients.
As a team member, you will be required to:
Remain constantly aware of project requirements and of required categories for goods and services.
Be alert to the availability and capacity of key industry suppliers.
Develop and maintain strong work relationships with key supplier personnel.
Meet sales representatives and analyze market trends and factors that can influence costs and project schedules related to purchased products and services.
Develop procurement strategies specifically for projects.
Provide leadership in the bidding process and the development of required documents.
Develop the list of bidders.
Organize and head meetings with selected bidders.
Prepare business analyses and formulate procurement recommendations.
Prepare purchase orders and manage changes or addenda.
Perform rigorous and documented follow-up with suppliers.
Monitor progress of procurement packages based on the procurement strategy.
Ensure compliance of files, different purchase orders and various assigned purchases for products and services.
Work closely with the engineering team, cost controllers, planners and estimators.
Help continuously improve methods, tools, systems and procedures related to procurement, follow-up and logistics.
