With a secure future in offshore surveillance, PAL Aerospace is actively recruiting a Captain to join our team on a full-time basis, working on exciting, rewarding, and unique programs at our St. John's, NL operation.

As a Captain on the King Air for the Airborne Maritime Surveillance Division (AMSD), your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Operation and safety of the aircraft and for the safety of all persons on board during flight time
  • Ensuring that crew members are fit for duty and perform their duties in a proper manner during flight
  • Ensuring that the required documentation, manuals, maps, and charts are on board
  • Carrying out pre-flight and post-flight briefing and checks
  • Ensuring that the aircraft journey book is maintained, legible and in proper order
  • Recording defects of the aircraft that have come to knowledge during the flight and notifying the maintenance department
  • Familiarizing themselves, in conjunction with Dispatch based on the latest available information, with:
    1. The planned route and the airports it are planned to use for destination, alternate or emergency purposes
    2. The reported and forecast winds for the route
    3. The reported and forecast meteorological conditions for the routes, destination, and alternate airports
  • Signify acceptance of responsibility for the flight by co-signing the Operational Flight Plan and other forms requiring signature
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 3500 hours Total Time
  • 750 hours low level
  • 1000 hours PIC
  • ATPL
  • Minimum of 500 hours experience on King Air aircraft
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Valid passport as candidates are required to travel to the USA for training
  • Must be able to obtain required security clearances
