The Carrier Procurement Specialist is committed to achieving optimal levels of service engagement between our Carrier Partners and Titanium Sales Staff. This role is responsible for evaluating carrier options and arranging the movement of freight for our customers, ensuring service quality metrics are achieved to support both customer and Titanium expectations. Total customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal and this team works to link communication, solution and action between all parties.


  • Proficient with the use of a computer with the ability to regularly adapt to new and changing software, as assigned
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to also effectively utilize this skillset through electronic communication tools (email, transportation software, or other)
  • Superior communication abilities, including effectively interacting with both carriers and co-workers simultaneously to achieve desires results, as prescribed by customer, sales staff, and/ or management staff
  • Superior negotiation ability, ensuring desired rate targets are achieved
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, contributing equally (as defined by management staff) and meeting expected deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate results, to appropriate parties, reporting service challenges to management staff immediately
  • Willingness to request support and guidance, as needed, to achieve desired results within prescribed time constraints
  • Ability to be precise and accurate, reviewing all work assignments before submission to ensure accuracy requirements are realized
  • Capable of adapting to change and simultaneously managing multiple tasks, projects and/ or assignments, assessing urgency and prioritizing freight movements accordingly
  • Ability to continuously evaluate priorities to lead tasks and/ or assignments to completion
  • Maintain a positive and outgoing demeanor at all times, with a strong work ethic and desire to overcome obstacles so that desired results are achieved
  • Think critically and maintain an organized and/ or structured state of control of all tasks and assignments at all times
  • Successfully complete all assigned training and participate in recertification, as required


  • Source carriers to match available loads in a fast paced setting
  • Work alongside Compliance department to qualify new carriers to Titanium’s standards
  • Build rapport and develop relationships with carriers and integrate them into our system
  • Secure carriers with competitive rates, and to ensure fair market prices to help build and sustain partnerships while achieving highest profitable margin
  • Maintain solid understanding of market conditions and carrier pricing trends to maximize profit margins
  • Research carriers, identify potential business partners, and generate interest to help develop business relationships, including carrier in person vetting
  • Maintain and expand our database of carriers within the Transportation Management Software (TMS)
  • Achieve spot rates by interacting with multiple carriers all at the same time
  • Assist Customer Experience Representatives (CXR) and sales with problems when escalated
  • Confirming accessorial extra charges to be sent to the carrier
  • Communicate with carriers from pick up to delivery to meet deadline and arrange changes if necessary
  • Take initiative and identify potential risk and/ or problems; work to resolve problems
  • Choosing the correct type of certifications when booking the truck and all permits if needed
  • Consistently provide excellent telephone manners and be resourceful, as necessary
  • Assist with any assigned administrative tasks, including order entry or other
  • Adhere to performance standard guidelines as defined by the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) schedule
  • Demonstrate a desire to successfully achieve objectives and support other team members with their goals, as requested
  • Foster teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers
  • Adhere to all Titanium Transportation Group Inc. service standards and policies, including Health & Safety
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of Occupational Health and Safety
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
