Job Description :
Your role will consist mainly in designing underground utilities (wastewater systems, aqueducts, fire protection), roads, drainage systems, earthworks and various other infrastructures as well as in supervising their design and in managing projects in the following heavy industry sectors: mining and metals, energy and petrochemicals.
This challenge will be of interest to professionals recognized for delivering custom solutions at all stages of the project lifecycle, from design and preliminary studies to construction.
More specifically, you will:
• Participate in study projects. • Design underground utilities, roads, drainage systems and various infrastructures. • Optimize cut and fill. • Participate in preparing construction plans and specifications to deliver civil works. • Participate in preparing estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications and reports. • Contribute to work planning, organization and evaluation. • Coordinate work with other infrastructure engineers and technicians as well as with other engineering disciplines. • Perform quality control for the work of engineers and technicians. • Assess client satisfaction and maintain close, harmonious relations with them and their representatives. • Assess engineering hours and prepare proposals. • Applies the firm’s health and safety policy and takes the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; becomes familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and applies specific job directives. • Ensures that all direct reports adhere to and apply all health, safety and environment directives. • Meticulously carries out assigned roles and responsibilities in accordance with established health and safety directives.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec • Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure design, including roads, underground utility networks, drainage systems and earthworks. • Knowledge of PCSWMM software • Proficient with spoken and written French • Proficient with MS Office • ASP Construction card holder (BBA can support training) • Available for short-term assignments at client locations and site visits • Asset: Bilingual (English and French) • Asset: Experience monitoring, inspecting or supervising site work
