Your mission at Decathlon Canada :

Based in Calgary, AB, you will be in charge of construction projects all across Canada. So you will have the chance to travel regularly. Types of projects will be store fit-ups mainly, but also new buildings, warehouses, and offices.

For each project, you will:

  • Manage the project execution from the feasibility studies till the store opening,
  • Realize the store layout and facades drawings in AutoCAD, as per DECATHLON’s concepts and in coordination with the store director,
  • Participate to the negotiations with our landlords, on the technical aspects, and in coordination with the expansion manager,
  • Prepare the construction budget estimate,
  • Prepare the project time schedule,
  • Appoint the professionals,
  • Coordinate the design & planning stage, with the architect and the engineers,
  • Identify all the necessary certificate & permits to be obtained prior to the store opening, and ensure their approval on time,
  • Manage the bidding process, negotiate and appoint the different contractors, & suppliers for the project,
  • Manage the construction process during works, being responsible for the budget, schedule, quality and safety,
  • Organize the handover process with the contractors and the store team.

Candidate profile searched:

  • Architectural or Engineering degree with several years of experience in the construction or real estate sector,
  • Mastery of AutoCAD is compulsory,
  • Organized, but with a start-up mentality and agility to adapt,
  • Know how to convince and obtain results (charisma),
  • Like to work in a team,
  • Sociable, dedicated and helpful,
  • Open to field work,
  • Sporty / sporting person,
  • Multicultural work experience,
  • French speaking is an asset.
