FISPAN is looking for a software developer co-op to work closely with the Software Development team and Lead Architect. FISPAN’s business model unites 3 disparate types of enterprises: fast-moving and edgy FinTech providers, Banks, and large corporations. Our API-driven SAAS platform presents a fantastic opportunity for your development talents to shine. You will help define our platform’s specifications, and then design, code, test, debug, and document our service. How your day at work would look like

• Develop RESTful APIs
• Designs and Implements of front-end web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React)
• Designs and implements server-side applications (Java 8, Spring Boot, Netflix OSS)
• Improves our automated testing suite
• Participates in DevOps related projects (primary AWS related automation)
• Participates in project teams
• Participates in design reviews
• Provides time estimates for assigned development
• Carries out other related tasks and duties as assigned

What you need

• Education: pursuing a degree in computing science
• Must have experience with Java or modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular 2, React)
• Must have experience with relational Databases (No-SQL is a plus) and the ability to write SQL queries
• Be familiar with source control and build systems: git, maven/gradle
• Experience with AWS or any other cloud providers is a plus
• Having already completed a co-op term is an asset
