The Digital Marketing Manager will champion the strategy and execution of the Swiss Chalet Social Media, Digital Media, growth strategy. Working with internal and external creative and media agencies, this role will take ownership of social media planning, activities and strategies to develop brand awareness and provide an engaging experience for our customers and followers. The individual will be a critical part of the brand marketing team in defining and fulfilling on brand identity and positioning strategies.

What will you do in this role?:

  • Grow social media following through acquisition strategies both on and offline
  • Development of Social Media and strategy and content calendars, and lead development of the required assets to fuel this content (orchestrating photo and video shoots as required, identifying user generated content opportunities and managing community engagement)
  • Working with the Sr.Brand Manager on brand promotional campaigns as well as viral opportunities, create social media and digital media campaigns that ultimately drive users to our restaurants
  • Establish relationships with key bloggers and online influencers, and assist with the coordination of PR campaigns with online media opportunities.
  • Identify and monitor effective benchmarks for measurement of social media efforts.
  • Analyze, review and report of effectiveness of paid campaigns to maximize results and make recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Analyze email campaign KPIs and identify trends to develop strategies that better segment Guests and create sales/traffic opportunities.
  • Monitor social networks for potential threats or opportunities in user-generated content, and work with Guest services team for additional social monitoring activities- both addressing negative feedback and identifying positive/surprise and delight opportunities.
  • Special project! Manage and update Swiss Chalet’s Augmented Reality elements within the Swiss Chalet Mobile App, including creative and content updates, limited time promotional events, and more!

What are we looking for from you?:

  • Demonstrated digital and interactive leadership experience
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in social media and email
  • A minimum 3 years of experience developing business or marketing plans and cross functional team environment experience
  • Project management or Campaign management experience an asset
  • A results oriented, team player with a focus on the customer
  • Passion for social media, technology and the online space
    Ability to set priorities to maximum productivity and focused business results
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and evolving team environment, utilizing interpersonal skills to manage the relationships across multiple brands
  • You are an influencer who can present data/facts to gain buy-in
  • Strong project management, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to set KPI's and analyze raw data into meaningful and actionable insights
  • Results-oriented individual who enjoys a fast paced environment
  • Ability to think and operate both strategically and tactically
  • Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
