Description
Your role as Business Line Manager in Digital Power Systems (DPS)
will be to provide BD support for the DPS group which combines multi-disciplinary
knowledge in electrical system integration and capabilities to implement such
systems in operational technologies (OT) environment.
Our National Digital Power Systems group is a multidisciplinary solution team
that provides all the engineering skills necessary to define, design, build,
commission, and operate digital systems in an electrical network. The
team operates laboratories across Canada that are interconnected to provide a
complete set of tools to support system configuration, to evaluate components
performance and to pre-test systems prior to installation in the field.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible to identify the key
objectives, global trends and penetration strategies for the following markets:
Transmission and Distribution for Utilities, IPPs and large industrial clients
Renewables (Hydro, Wind, Solar, BESS, etc.)
Mining and Metals
Biofuels, Oil and Gas
Other Industrials
Datacenters
In such a position, we expect the candidate to have developed a good
understanding of these markets and current trends towards Digital Technologies.
The
ideal candidate will have also been exposed to the reality of engineering
projects.
Identify and track BD opportunities with:
Business Line Leaders:
Hydro, Wind, solar, storage, Off-grid power, T&D and OEMs
BD region Leaders
Client Account Managers
Industry 4.0 contributors
Understand project deliverables and
capability to evaluate project complexity and added value engineering
Experience with fixed cost project and risk management
Prepare, review and present DPS proposal and provide assistance during
transition to project
Track possible partnership/ certification with Vendor (protection relays,
telecom, SCADA)
Promote DPS group toward networking and BBA existing client
Promote cross-selling of complementary expertise, namely:
Cybersecurity
Telecommunication
Electrical studies
Substation design and automation
Industrial IT
Identify opportunities to promote DPS
within Pre-feasibility studies
Exhibit DPS multi-disciplinary knowledge by sharing project experiences, tools,
best practices internally and externally.
Participate and present in symposium, conference, convention
Organize regional Industry 4.0 awareness sessions (West regions)
Collaborate and provide continuous feedback and improvement opportunities with
other contributors:
DPS steering committee
DPS lab regional leaders
Office directors
Department managers
Project leaders
Practice leaders
Be aware of new qualification and Master
service agreement opportunities. Ideal candidate will be located in Alberta and/or willing to relocate to Edmonton.
