Director, Marketing

Our Director, Marketing role provides strategic and tactical leadership and overall project management of key marketing, brand and related communications initiatives; coaching and development of direct reports; and marketing representation on BlueShore Financial cross-functional teams. This strategic role will lead a group of established marketing specialists who will are key to BlueShore Financial’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • As a member of the BlueShore senior leadership team, contributes to successful delivery of our business strategy and sustaining our positive corporate culture
  • Identifies brand and business building opportunities aligned with corporate strategies; develops and implements innovative solutions to increase brand awareness, increase product sales/service usage, achieve growth/profitability targets, and increase market share.
  • Oversees the clear articulation and consistent positioning of BlueShore Financial’s brand; ensures the organization consistently presents a differentiated, premium brand image to defined target markets and communities.
  • Develops and oversees the execution of the content marketing and related communications strategies using data and analytics to inform content creation
  • Develops lead generation and lead nurturing campaigns in alignment with digital marketing strategy to engage prospects and clients, and support the organization’s business goals
  • Provides overall project management on key strategic and tactical integrated campaigns and promotional plans and programs to support business strategy.
  • Leverages consumer insights to drive brand awareness and holistic brand experiences that engage interest and brand loyalty
  • Contributes to ensuring that digital best practice is embedded in all relevant marketing campaigns
  • Provides marketing leadership and expertise on cross-functional teams related to delivering an exceptional client experience. As a member of corporate and business teams, contributes to developing, implementing and sustaining client experience strategies/programs.
  • Directs the creation and revision of new and ongoing marketing collateral to support sales activities and goals across channels ensuring brand adherence and regulatory compliance
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of client appreciation, recognition and referral programs, to enhance brand differentiation and client engagement
  • Develops the strategy and oversees the execution of marketing sponsorships, events and community partnerships to support business growth, increase brand awareness and generate business leads.
  • Provides marketing leadership on branch and head office merchandising strategies to advance and evolve the Financial Spa experience in all locations.
  • Provides leadership and strong project management to establish and maintain an environment of effective, productive teamwork both within Marketing and Communications and with other internal and external stakeholders (including agencies, business units, Marketing partners, Legal and Compliance).
  • Manages direct reports; participates in the recruitment and selection of new staff; develops individual objectives to meet branch/department goals; evaluates staff performance using performance management system; initiates salary reviews as required; recognizes and rewards employees; takes corrective action as required.
  • Proactively coaches and develops employees to help them achieve career growth and engagement. Supports development opportunities for staff through various sources including learning sessions, internal and external training, and education courses. Ensures each employee has a learning plan in place and results are achieved.
  • Develops and manages Marketing budgets.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University Degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8-10 years relevant experience in broad spectrum of marketing, including brand and communications disciplines (editorial and content, marketing automation, social media, SEO, SEM and web content)
  • Minimum 5 years management experience
  • Solid business acumen and experience managing large and complex budgets
  • Experience managing social channels, including social content and community management across Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Proven experience in planning, developing, executing and measuring integrated omni-channel marketing campaigns and programs
  • Demonstrated project management skills; effective execution of marketing promotions, campaigns, and communications
  • Proven experience with partnerships and sponsorship strategy development and management
  • Expertise in content marketing, e-marketing, social marketing
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms in a B2C environment,
  • Experience with relevant analytics and marketing tools including Google Analytics, Marketo, Wrike
