Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the Talent Management Team in sourcing, attracting, selecting, engaging, and retaining the best talent at The Miller Group. The ideal candidate will be technically strong in full-cycle student/campus recruitment and community outreach.

Responsibilities:

Student/Campus Recruiting

  • Focus on early identification of candidates in their academic journey from co-op and internship through to full-time opportunities after graduation
  • Work closely with the Talent Manager & HR Business Partners to establish a tailored recruiting approach at designated schools
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders to fully understand their region’s talent needs and how our early talent strategy will support those needs
  • Build relationships with identified schools with professionals in career centres and
  • programs of study that support our recruiting strategy
  • Coordinate logistics and attend campus events (primary, secondary and post-secondary) including career fairs, classroom presentations, conferences and interview sessions
  • Execute the full cycle campus recruiting process while ensuring every student has a positive experience during all stages of the talent acquisition process and their term with The Miller Group

Community Outreach

  • Promote Miller’s employment opportunities with a goal to maximize the number of qualified applicants and reach individuals facing barriers to employment
  • Establish partnerships with the community service providers
  • Coordinate and attend Job fairs and Community events
  • Facilitate workplace readiness and education
  • Maintain up to date information on the ATS. Report accurate metrics in a clear and visually appealing manner
  • Utilize social media effectively to present Miller’s brand and corporate values and identify creative ways to engage operations groups in enhancing our Employer Brand
  • Assist in projects related to technology enhancements, processes improvement, career site enhancements and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education, with a major in Human Resource Management. Working towards their CHRP
  • 2 to 3 years of full cycle campus recruitment with at least 1 year of experience recruiting for engineering or technical graduates
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate with various audiences
  • Strong customer service skills with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite, ATS, web-based systems, social media platforms, etc.)
  • Access to reliable transportation in order to attend multiple campus recruitment events across the province
