Description

As a team member, your duties will include:

  • Performing apparatus and automation start-ups in substations.
  • Developing technical procedures required for pre-operational verifications and start-ups of ancillary electrical equipment.
  • Performing various types of tests on power equipment at client sites.
  • Carrying out complete equipment commissioning.
  • Programming and verifying protection relay settings using simulations.
  • Commissioning new substations[RL1].
  • Performing pre-operational verifications on new equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Three years or less of relevant experience
  • Available for short- and long-term assignments at client sites across Canada (40% to 90% of the time)
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French)
  • Asset: knowledge of test equipment
  • Asset: knowledge of the following installations and equipment: high- and medium-voltage substations, transformers, high- and medium-voltage cables, distribution equipment, control and protection systems, generators, etc.
