Job Description:
Specialty RN can be assigned to a unit with patients that require more complex care.
The Specialty RN is responsible for the overall coordination and direction of nursing care.
The Specialty RN provides clinical leadership, particularly in complex or unpredictable patient/client care settings.
The Specialty RN has the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide competent, evidence-based nursing practice.
As a member of a collaborative care team, the Specialty RN works with other disciplines to coordinate care to achieve patient/family outcomes.
The Specialty RN contributes to the efficient and effective functioning of the service/unit and coordination of patient care.
The Specialty RN complies with documentation processes at sites.
