Job Description :
As part of the regional Field Services team, this role will contribute to the construction and commissioning phases for various projects in the heavy industry sector as well as for power generators. The successful candidate will be required to perform technical surveys for substations, monitor job sites and proceed to the commissioning of electrical equipment.

Additionally, this role will participate in engineering phases by preparing plans and test procedures as well as technical specifications and building estimates by using established calculation and design methods.

This role will also be expected to:
• Lead a team of four to six individuals
• Be responsible for business relations and the quality of professional services
• Prepare service offers
• Manage schedules
• Perform tests, troubleshooting and proceed to the commissioning of electrical equipment and control systems
• Participate in the development of maintenance programs
• Monitor worksite projects being carried out at our clients’ facilities
• Assist the testing of electrical equipment
• Prepare test programs
• Define safety procedures and criteria
• Draft commissioning reports
• Participate in the execution of detailed engineering projects
• Design diagrams and plans
• Draft technical documents, calculation notes and estimates
• Apply established work methods and ensure their improvement

The successful candidate will:
• Know how to mobilize the necessary resources (staff/finances/material) to comply with deadlines and achieve objectives
• Know how to assign and define duties and tasks, duration and level of expertise to each project stage
• Have solid interpersonal skills that support managing positive relations with clients and colleagues
• Successfully manage relations with clients and colleagues
• Be able to foster a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, effective communication and focus on delivering high quality results to our clients
• Can demonstrate/sell skills to peers as well as internal (directors and/or project leaders) and external work delegators
Requirements :
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent technical program or,
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
• Good knowledge of protective relays and their functions
• Solid understanding of medium or high voltage electrical apparatus
• Experience with substation operation and design
• Good basic knowledge of safety in electrical facilities
• Excellent communication skills including experience drafting technical documents
• Enthusiasm for developing positive client relationships, new business opportunities and the development of the team
• Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Acrobat Reader and other database applications
• Ability to travel for assignments both short and long-term
