You will be part of the Avionics Flight Deck Center of Excellence (FD CoE) team.
The FD CoE is team is responsible to for the design and evolution of the Flight Deck or our current and future aircrafts. The team is responsible to review and evaluate the evolution of conventional systems architectures and emerging new technologies to propose innovative architectures and processes to enable an efficient evolution of our systems integration on our aircrafts.
In your role, you will:
Act as first point of contact for the supplier and support supplier relations and management in the Avionics Engineering area, regarding the future development, R&D or advanced development collaboration and cross-platforms issues (Challenger & Global Aircraft types)
Establish and maintain the Supplier technical product roadmap, and ensure alignment with the BA products
Coordinate, within the organization, cross-platforms issues, and cross-platform changes
Work closely with Supplier team and serve as primary facilitator to expedite successful project completion, including planning, integration, problem resolution, risk mitigation and execution of supplier work scope for cross-platforms issues.
Provide visibility of project status to all levels of Bombardier (and Supplier) Executive Leadership
Work closely with the Head of Design team of all platforms to ensure good alignment with all parties
Ensure Bombardier Engineering Processes and Procedures (BES) will be followed by Supplier throughout Development and Certification
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
You have Project Management experience and PMI or equivalent
You have a minimum of (7) seven years of relevant experience on an Aircraft Development Program
You have knowledge of Avionics aircraft systems and operations
You have knowledge of specific Supplier integration within Bombardier Aircraft development programs – preferred
You have knowledge of Aircraft Certification Requirements (Part 25) – preferred
You have knowledge of Bombardier Engineering System (BES) and Bombardier Manuals (BM) required to support Engineering Development and Certification of Aircraft programs, including Supplier integration – preferred
You have strong Supplier inter-relationship skills
You are a self-starter/self-motivated with strong organizational & time management skills to support multiple tasks with little direct oversight
You have strong communication skills to ensure clear consistent and timely information sharing within the team and across functional areas
You have strong leadership and situational judgement
You have supervisory/management experience – preferred
You have ability to generate and give presentations to various levels in the company
You have a high level of proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Project
