We are looking for a General Maintenance Technician at our Walker Gro-Bark Office & Processing Facility in Caledon, Ontario.

The general maintenance technician will have some mechanical aptitude, and/or experience performing light repairs on heavy equipment. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7 am- 4 pm with the possibility of working overtime. The starting rate is $26/hour. The successful candidate does not need to be a licensed mechanic.

Core Responsibilities

• Mechanically inclined and able to perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment such as wheel loaders and grinders.
• Repairing or replacing defective components using hand and power tools.
• Responsible for following the Company’s preventative maintenance program and work order system in a timely manner.
• Demonstrating a strong commitment to established safety protocols and best work practices.
• Handling and caring for tools in a safe manner.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
