Timber Block is seeking to hire a General Manager / Construction Division to join our Turnkey division at our Innisfil Ontario office.



  • Plan & execute growth strategy with Management to attain and increase financial targets;
  • Conduct project meetings as required;
  • Coordinate, manage and communicate with all subcontractors to effectively deal with problems such as delivery, labor, schedule and payment disputes;
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of trades, their agreements and stipulations;
  • Ensure construction project files and documents are prepared, shared and logged with a high level of accuracy and within required timeframes;
  • Provide hands-on help in setting up the new division, as well as reviewing processes and procedures on a continuous basis in order to always improve performance;
  • Oversee project managers and help them reach their objectives;
  • Always manage customer expectations & satisfaction;
  • Establish & control project schedules with the Project Managers;
  • Ensure and facilitate the link between TBB (Manufacturer) and GTB/TBB (Builder).



  • Ten (10) years of experience in Project Management, Technical or Business-related Degree or combination of experience;
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code;
  • Leadership ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance including performance reviews and disciplinary actions;
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and their impact on project activities;
  • Crisis resolution and risk management;
  • Strong organizational skills with proven efficiency to handle multiple projects at one time;
  • Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to change;
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office products;
  • Good negotiating skills;
  • Familiarity with Procore construction management software would be a compelling asset.
