Summing it up

The housekeeping manager oversees the housekeeping department and is responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for all guests. They lead, train, and supervise the housekeeping team while ensuring all housekeeping staff follow the proper safety and sanitation standards for guest rooms and public spaces.


What you'll be doing

  • Manage and schedule day to day activities of the housekeeping team.
  • Create housekeeping schedule using the budgeted labour and ensure productivity.
  • Ensure Strata housekeeping services are delivered in accordance with the Strata Services Agreement.
  • Manage housekeeping work order process.
  • Recruiting, training and development of the housekeeping team.
  • Ensure payroll is completed on time, approve time off requests and facilitate annual performance evaluations.
  • Develop annual plans and budgets with the General Manager.
  • Manage monthly inventories and ordering for the housekeeping department.
  • Assist with management of Staff Accommodation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work, bend, crouch, climb stairs and be in motion/standing for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
