Fleetwood Metal, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, is looking for an HR Generalist for its Tillsonburg, Ontario facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The HR Generalist will provide human resources support and assistance with the day-to-day management of Human Resources operations and ensure they are all aligned with the Operational goals and objectives. More precisely, the incumbent:

  • Assist in daily human resources operations such as recruitment, training, and employee communications
  • Consult with line management and provide daily HR guidance
  • Track and analyze trends and metrics with the HR department
  • Support the HR Team in resolving complex employee relations issues and addressing complaints and concerns
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
  • Recruit, prepare interview processing, maintain and update designated records, files and manuals, usually via computerized systems
  • Perform general office duties such as filing office documents, track attendance and discipline, answering telephones, scheduling/arranging meetings, etc.
  • Provide HR policy guidance
  • Identify training needs for teams and individuals
  • Evaluate training programs
  • Suggest new HR strategies
  • All other duties as required.
  • Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook.


  • CHRP or CHRL an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • 3 years of proven work experience as an HR Generalist
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Analytical and goal oriented
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
  • Thorough knowledge of Provincial and Federal employment legislation
  • Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices
  • Hard working, team player
  • Strong logical decision-making skills
  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrates established time management and multitasking skills
  • Safety minded individual
