Where the Chemistry Happens…
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on plant, utilities, warehouse, laboratory and office equipment to ensure equipment is available for use with minimal downtime.
Formula for Success: You Will…
. Perform preventive maintenance/repairs on plant equipment and facilities as directed by the Maintenance Manager, ensuring that work is completed in a safe, timely and cost effective manner. Repairs/maintenance to equipment such as: boilers, air compressors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, production mixers and pumps, laboratory R&D machinery, plumbing.
2. Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and Contractors to ensure minimal equipment downtime or business interruptions.
3. Obtain equipment and supplies as needed to complete work orders and PMs. Ensure adequate supplies are maintained for items/parts used on a regular basis.
4. Respond to after-hours site security calls, ensure the site is secured and monitored equipment, such as steam boilers, is working properly.
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
Grade 12 education.
Millwright or Stationary Engineering training would be an asset
Experience in boiler maintenance is required
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and office facility
Knowledge and experience with mechanical power transmission devices, pneumatic systems, steam systems and hydraulics. Knowledge of various welding techniques would be an asset.
Experience with the use of a PC, basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and operation of a forklift truck.
