Industrial mechanical engineer (0–5 years experience)

Your future role on our team

As a member of our specialized industrial mechanics team, you will be exposed to different situations that will develop your technical skills in the following areas: materials handling, dust control, maintenance, pumping, structures, machine safety, and industrial ventilation. You will also be required to work in the Greater Montreal area, primarily in Mont-Saint-Hilaire.

• perform technical surveys in industrial plants;
• coordinate the work of draftspersons or other colleagues;
• perform detailed calculations;
• assist experienced staff with the technical aspects of more complex tasks;
• conduct technical studies and quality control, and write up technical reports;
• prepare documents as per the company's quality system requirements;
• prepare plans and specifications based on guidelines for mechanical projects;
• conduct onsite technical audits;
• supervise work, including the commissioning of designed systems;
• participate in preparing service offers.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

• University degree in mechanical engineering;
• Good communication and report-writing skills in French;
• Available for short-term assignments at client sites;
• Asset: experience in the heavy industry sector (mining, petrochemical, energy, etc.);
• Asset: ASP Construction card;
• Asset: bilingualism (French/English).
