Our Infusion clinic in Burnaby Lougheed Town Centre and South Surrey Peninsula Village currently has opportunities for:
IV infusion Therapist/RN (2 year contract)

This is a 2 year Full-time contract position (with the possibility of extension). Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule Monday through Saturday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

This role is responsible for assessing, treating and monitoring patients receiving IV infusions.

Responsibilities include:
  • Preparing IV infusion mixtures with multiple ingredient doses
  • Inserting IV catheters gently and with confidence
  • Performing brief clinical assessments of patients' symptoms and progress
  • Monitoring patients during infusions to identify and manage adverse events
  • Reporting adverse events in accordance with Health Canada and company policy
  • EMR documentation of procedures and relevant clinical data
  • Ensuring that the IV infusion area is clean, organized and well-supplied
  • Participating in clinical team meetings and administrative meetings
The successful candidate should possess the following:
  • Clinical background in gastroenterology, rheumatology, immunology or related areas an asset
  • Registered with the BCCNM
  • Certification or experience in IV insertion or treatment is an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with patients and staff
  • Ability to learn and perform clinical procedures with confidence
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Experience working with EMR systems, MS word and proficient typing skills
  • Demonstrated interest in a healthy lifestyle, integrative medicine or self-care
  • Tendency to thrive in a dynamic, changing work environment
