Summary: The Junior Business Analyst will be an integral part in providing data and analytical support to the asphalt plant optimization team to start, and to the materials group later on. This individual will team up with the Project Manager of the plant improvement team to drive safety, production, and revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Engages in discussions with operational colleagues to understand the local sales and manufacturing process and proposes/executes on analytical strategies to identify potential improvement areas
  • Extracts and analyzes data
  • Analyzes, summarizes, simplifies, and displays financial, sales, and production data in various software media
  • Prepares reports and presentations
  • Delivers presentations to diverse audiences
  • Extensive travel in various Canadian geographical environments

Requirements:

  • Must be bilingual in English and French
  • Post Secondary degree or diploma in Engineering or Business Experience with asphalt production or road building is an asset
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • A customer service oriented, self-starter with the ability to set priorities while multitasking and self-manage project assignments from start to finish
  • Team player; excellent collaboration skills; ability to engage with our team remotely and in person
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
  • Construction or Manufacturing experience
  • Excel superstar (developing charts, managing data, pivot tables)
  • Knowledge of reporting systems: Reports Now (JDE), Crystal Reports, Power BI, etc.
  • Familiar with SQL is an asset
  • Valid Drivers License and access to a car
