Job title: Junior Piping Design Technician (1 to 5 years) – Oil, Gas and Biofuels

Type of position: Regular

Work location: Montreal

Job Description:

Your role as a Piping Design Technician will be to work closely with our engineers and technicians on engineering projects in the Oil, Gas and Biofuels sector. You will be responsible for preparing drawings, specifications and other technical documents, as well as ensuring quality service and positive relations with internal and external clients. You will also be asked to design and prepare 3D drawings and modelling for mandates involving heavy machinery, conveyors, pumping systems, crushers and metallurgical processes.


The incumbent will be expected to:
•Prepare design plans and specifications
•Participate in deliverables for engineering design
•Carry out other technical duties to support project delivery
•Carry out commissioning and equipment performance testing
•Perform routine inspections or technical surveys
•Participate in creating mass and energy balances using simulation software
•Select and size process equipment
•Participate, where required, in various work phases, at the office, on site or in a lab
•Help prepare proposals
•Participate in the firm's development and growth.

Requirements:

• Diploma of college studies (DCS) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• From 1 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Interest in the environment
• Very good knowledge of IT applications, databases and interfaces such as MS Office Suite
• Bilingual (English and French)
• Asset: ASP Construction card
