Job Description :
The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication, consulting, analytical and organisational skills as well as being a dedicated team player. They must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience and be interested in business development. Preference will be given to candidates with on-site experience and those who have the demonstrated ability to find innovative solutions to complex metallurgical problems.

• Work with a team of skilled engineers, designers and project support staff
• Manage a variety of cross discipline teams to ensure cost effective, safe and timely completion of projects that meet or exceed client expectations
• Prepare plans and basic calculations;
• Apply the methods of calculation and design established;
• Prepare technical reports;
• Planning and analysis of metallurgical testing, crushing, grinding, flotation, hydrometallurgy, water treatment, gravity separation, pressure oxidation, heap leaching, CIL / CIP and electro winning / refining;
• Develop and review process plant material balance, process design criteria, PFD’s, P&ID’s, plant layouts, technical specifications and technical evaluations
• Development of mass and energy balance using the simulation software MetSim;
• Selection, sizing and cost estimation of process equipment;
• Prepare Capital and Operating Cost Evaluations
• Perform inspections or routine technical surveys;
• Participate, when required, at various phases of work at the office, at client sites, or in the laboratory;
• Create and review of proposals
• Assure liaison with clients on a technical level and present reports, publications and presentations in a professional manner
• Participate in business development and company growth.
• Applies the firm’s health and safety policy and takes the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; becomes familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and applies specific job directives.

Requirements :
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mineral processing, metallurgy or chemical engineering is an asset
• Registered with EGBC
• 3+ years of experience in mining operations and/or design, on-site experience is considered an asset
• General areas of expertise include: metallurgical testwork planning/analysis, crushing, grinding, flotation, hydrometallurgy, water treatment, gravity separation, pressure oxidation, heap leaching, CIL/CIP and electrowinning/refining
• Interest by process control and optimization is considered an asset
• Strong track record of successfully completed projects in the mining industry
• Feasibility study and NI 43-101 experience is considered an important asset
• Available for occasional travel to domestic and international destinations
• Enthusiasm for business development and company growth
• Experience with Microsoft Office and process simulation software
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written (English, second language is an asset).
