What will your typical day look like?

  • Advise clients regarding ad-hoc and strategic issues;
  • Support clients in crisis management and complex matters;
  • Continuously collaborate with your colleagues and other professionals within Deloitte;
  • Draft and review contracts and policies;
  • Conduct legal research and participate in providing legal opinions;
  • Draft procedures and manage litigation (optional);
  • Build relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor;
  • Assist in developing internal and external conferences, presentations and publications.
About the team

The Employment and Labour group at Deloitte Legal Canada acts as a trusted advisor in empowering clients to achieve their business goals. We provide businesses with the advice they need to make informed decisions, support them to comply with a multitude of legal and regulatory requirements, and assist them in all aspects of risk management and conflict resolution, through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms as well as litigation when it is in the best interests of our clients.

Our group provides employers with business-oriented expert and practical advice on all facets of the employment relationship, in unionized and non-unionized settings, at both the provincial and federal level. Our expertise spans all areas of employment and labour law.

We have the privilege of being affiliated with Deloitte, a world-renowned professional services firm, and being able to collaborate with other entities of the group worldwide.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in law and an exemplary academic career.
  • 0 to 2 years’ experience in a legal firm.
  • Excellent drafting, research, analysis and communication skills.
  • Fluency in oral and written French and English.
  • A meticulous, thorough and detail-oriented approach.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.
